If you checked out my browsing history, you’d know just how excited I am for Dreamforce. (And no, it’s not because I spent my teenage years listening to Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters” like it was going somewhere.) It’s because Dreamforce is a great time for me to level up and see what apps I can add to my org to make my life as a solo admin easier. This week’s edition of Our Favorite Things is dedicated to my top three apps I’m going to be rubbing elbows with at the Cloud Expo.
Financial Force
Okay, so I will admit three things right up front. 1) FinancialForce is not on the Cloud Expo floor, they’re setting up shop at Fogo de Chao (a Brazilian Steakhouse which has my heart here in Pittsburgh) and as a keto eater, this has me thrilled. 2) My company has a reporting product that links into FinancialForce, so I have some bias to this app. 3) I have so many things I want to accomplish in Q4 in our HCM module that I might never leave. Promise it has nothing to do with access to all the steak!
Google Cloud
Not only do I work the Salesforce magic for my company, but I administer our Google tools. I’m excited to head to booth #703 and see what is cooking for users of both Salesforce and Google. Integration to email, docs, and more would make my job 100x easier than it already is. My fear is that we need to make the jump to Lightning to do this, but maybe this is the kick in the pants I need.
Conga
Ever since day one at my company I have had a love/hate relationship with this app. The hate is because it is always challenging me and the love is because once I crack the code it makes our document generation seamless. After spending an entire day this week working on a report that joined over 500,000 Chatter feed items to find potential custom contracts, I really need to talk to them about how we can get our Contracts module up and running so everything is in one place. Look for Conga at booth 1411 to find out what they provide in the way of “end-to-end Intelligent Document Automation solutions including document generation, contracts, and eSignature”.
Bonus…the AppExchange Breakfast! They had me at bacon. This is going to be a fun event where the AppExchange thanks the Ohana for all we do. Look for me – I’ll be the one with a coffee in one hand, a plate of bacon in another.
Which apps are you most excited to see (Make sure you check out Kristi’s post from last week to see who she is going to be checking out!)
